Governance '#6 - Repeat Proposal '#5 Reenabling the Gravity Bridge IBC-Client
Proposal 6: Repeat Proposal 5: Reenabling the Gravity Bridge IBC-Client
NeutaroGuardian Voted: YES
Description
This is the same proposal as #5, which received 100% YES votes but was rejected due to not reaching the 40% quorum. We were only ~4% short last time — we need more participation to get this across the line.
Validators — please vote from the wallet that holds your validator’s voting power (the operator/self-delegation wallet). Voting from any other wallet won’t count your bonded stake toward quorum.
Delegators & non-validators — your vote matters too! If you don’t vote, your validator’s vote is inherited, but voting directly always helps push us past the quorum threshold.
The Inter-blockchain Communication (IBC) Client responsible for the Neutaro<>Gravity Bridge for Neutaro-Osmosis is expired. The Timpi Development Team requests we re-enable.
Arguments In-Favor
The client used for this communication has expired, and we need to refresh it to reestablish the Neutaro-Osmo connection.
Osmo is a key partner chain. NTMPI tokens were transferred to Osmo earlier, and now that the client has expired, they are blocked. Refreshing the client will unblock them. This is also why we cannot simply install a new client, as the previously transferred tokens would be lost.
Arguments Against
I did not hear argument against prior to my vote.

My Thoughts
Similar to my comments in proposal #4 this is one of the OG partner bridges for Timpi and Neutaro. It’s critical for the network to be able to increase access and ubiquity to the token and it’s current holders. Because we already have NTMPI tokens distributed there, we should re-enable this connection to maintain that relationship cross-chains and for the best interests of Neutaro.
Considering these points, I believe it is fair and reasonable approve this proposal and re-enable the IBC client without undue risk to the chain.
Commitement to Governance Voting
Those delegating deserve transparency for how their shares are voting. As a committed contributor to Neutaro and Timpi, I will be participating in all governance voting. I will post description of each proposal when announced, share my thoughts, and explain how I’m casting the vote for the shares delegated.
